The Commercially proven B&T Food Waste to Animal Feed Process is at work now in Chicago and Boston in the United States. The most recent unit started commercial production in 2019 for Cereal Byproducts, Inc. manufacturing a high-value feed for farrowing farms (baby pigs). The second most recent unit started commercial production in 2017 for Troiano Trucking (greater Boston). The plant has been acquired and is now operated by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) spin-off FeedBack Earth, Inc. This facility in greater Boston collects and processes pre-consumer food waste from multiple food manufacturers.
The world’s largest pasta maker extrudes our “cookie dough” into long spaghetti strands. This multi-patented pelletizer transforms the cookie dough into uniform shapes, making consistent drying possible
The spaghetti strands are dried in a fluid bed dryer… that dries without burning. The dried food waste now has a shelf life of 6-9 months without spoiling
The final production step is conditioning. the pellets are dried at 100 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes, making our products pathogen-free for the safety of the animals
